Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang (L, D)
Pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Ha Giang (318 km). On the way to Ha Giang, explore the daily life of countryside in Tuyen Quang. Arrive in Ha Giang, free time. O/N at Huy Hoan Hotel in Ha Giang town.
Day 2: Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Meo Vac – Dong Van (B, L, D)
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to visit Quan Ba Pass (Heaven's Gate - 1500 m high), Stop at Yen Minh town for lunch. Transfer to Meo Vac to see the great nature, meet local people on the way. There will be a lot of opportunities to take photos of the impressive stone mountatns and Meo minority’s people. After that drive to Dong Van (the Stone Highland). Check in a local guest house in Dong Van town. Then you have a couple of hours to explore the area with “Dong Van old street”, before having dinner and stay overnight in the town.
Day 3: Dong Van – Ha Giang – Viet Quang (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will leave Dong Van for Ha Giang. On the way back, you will admire beautiful nature and still meet minority people with their daily’s activities along the road. Stop to visit Vuong palace – home of Meo's King . Lunch enroute. Drive to Viet Quang. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in the town.
Day 4: Viet Quang – Thai Nguyen - Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
Drive to to Tuyen Quang, from there continue to Thai Nguyen. Lunch in a local restaurant before going to Ba Be. Arrive in Ba Ba lake, after checking in homestay, you will have time to explore the area and visit Tay minority village. Dinner and stay overnight in Tay family’s traditional stilt house.
Day 5: Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
After seeing a lot of great mountains, now you will have time to refresh with a boat trip for about 4 hours to visit Ba Be lake. On the way you stop at Dau Dang waterfall and the giant Poong grotto with hundreds of bats. Have lunch in a Tay village. In the National Park you can discover spectacular high waterfall, rivers, deep valleys, natural cave and small lakes. Steep mountains surround the lakes up to 1.745 meters high. In the afternoon you have the possibility to go on a short trek with our guide to one of the small Tay villages scattered around the lakes on the land. Dinner and stay overnight in the same homestay at Ba Be Lake.
Day 6: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B, L)
After a long sleep, you get up in a fresh atmosphere. Have breakfast before leaving the homestay and Ba Be Lake for the drive back to Hanoi.Lunch in a local restaurant on the way. Arrive in Hanoi about 4 o´clock in the afternoon. The trip ends where it started at your hotel.

Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be National Park (250 km - 10 hours).
Departure from your hotel at around 8:00 am. Drive to Ba Be National Park. On the way you stop in Thai Nguyen city to visit the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups, the second largest museum in Vietnam for ethnic minorities.Drive to Ba be national park. Stay overnight with a local family in a Tay village overlooking Ba Be Lake.

In the morning you go on a 4 hour boat trip on Ba Be Lake. It is a beautiful area surrounded by high limestone hills covered in tropical evergreen forest. There is a high diversity of flora and fauna and on the way you will see many birds. You will continue down a river and stop at Dau Dang Waterfall and the impressive Puong Cave which is 30 m high and 300 m long. The river flows through the cave and the boat will take you to the other side of the cave from where you drive to Cao Bang. You arrive in Cao Bang in the evening and stay in a hotel.

NORTHWEST TOUR (10 DAYS / 9 NIGHTS)
The northwestern part of Vietnam is one of the most interesting and beautiful areas of South East Asia. Vietnam is home to 54 ethnic groups and the northwestern part of the country is an exciting place to see the lives, customs and cultures of some of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities. In this part of the country the minorities still dress in their traditional colorful clothing – especially the women. Each minority group has its own distinct color and style of dress. On the Northwest Jeep tour you will both do a minority trek and stay with some of the tribes in the Sapa area and go on a jeep tour through some of the country’s most spectacular scenery and home to many distinct hill tribes. There will be a lot of time to stop at local markets and visit small minority villages rarely visited by other tourists.

Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai.
You will be picked up at your hotel 1 hour before train departure (20:10) for a transfer to the train station. Night train (soft sleeper) to Lao Cai. The night trains leave at around 21:10.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa.
You arrive at Lao Cai train station early in the morning, from where you will be picked up and have a shared bus transfer to Sapa (35 km - about 1 hour drive). Check-in at Cat Cat Hotel. In the morning you will have time on your own to enjoy the view of Fansipan (3.143 m) on the other side of the Sapa valley - and to explore the market where some of the different ethnic minority groups come into town to sell their products. In the afternoon you will meet the guide who will give you brief information about the following days in the Sapa area. After this you will visit the Cat Cat village which is home of the Black H’mong people. Stay overnight in Cat Cat Hotel, Sapa.
Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van.
After breakfast you leave the hotel and trek to Lao Chai village to visit Black H’mong people.Then you continue to Ta Van village to visit Zay people. Dinner and stay overnight in a homestay in Ta Van village. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Sapa – Lai Chau ( 178 km)
This morning the Jeep will take you on a 5 – 6 hour drive to Lai Chau. On the first part you will pass the beautiful Silver Waterfall Thac Bac and Tram Ton Pass (1900m) with views of the Fansipan Mountain Range. Later you pass and have the chance to visit - Lao, Lu, Thai, Mang and Black Dao villages. On the way you will see deep river gorges, tall mountains and green rice fields. In the afternoon you arrive to Lai Chau, one of the hottest places in Vietnam during the summer months.Stay overnight in a hotel in Lai Chau. (B).
Day 7: Lai Chau – Dien Bien Phu (130 km).
3 – 4 hours drive to Dien Bien Phu along a road with spectacular views and steep heavily forested hills. Visit some of the minority villages (Kho Mu, Thai and H’mong) en route.At noon we arrive at Dien Bien Phu in the flat Muong Thanh Valley. Dien Bien Phu was the site of the last calamitous battle between the forces of Ho Chi Minh’s Viet Minh army and the French in 1954. Day 02: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Poom Coong (B/L/D)
This morning you leave early and head southwest to Mai Chau, past sweeping vistas of lush hills and limestone karsts. After lunch, stretch your legs with a walk around the village of Pom Coong, inhabited by the Thai people. As you enjoy a barbeque dinner, watch a performance of local dance and music. (Today’s trek is 6km) .Overnight in local home in Pom Coong.
Day 03: Mai Chau - Xa Linh - Hang Kia - Cun Pheo (B/L/D)
Transfer to the village of Xa Linh for the start of your trek along a mixture of paths, streambeds, and steep jungle hillsides reaching a H’mong village for a late lunch. This afternoon is mainly downhill, trekking along tracks which wind through hamlets, across small streams, and over suspension bridges. As you approach the village of Cun Pheo, soak in the beautiful scenery of the Mai Chau valley. (Today’s trek is 21km, 9-10hrs) Overnight in homestay, Cun Pheo.
Day 04: Cun Pheo - Van Mai - Hang Tribe village (B/L/D )
Today, experience the diversity of Vietnam as you trek through indigenous villages belonging to the region’s different tribes. After lunch, transfer to Sai village for the trek to Hang Village, an oasis in the middle of Pu Luong Nature reserve. This path follows a route once used as part of the Ho Chi Minh trail during the Vietnam War to supply the resistance, but now is a tranquil area perfect for a late afternoon trek. (Today’s trek 25km, 8-10 hrs) .Overnight in Hang Village
Day 05: Trekking the hills of Pu Luong (B/L/D)
Today, hike through the Pu Luong valley with steep ascents and relaxing downhills. Reach Kho Muong for your overnight stay, an incredibly scenic village nestled between steep limestone karts and lush, verdant hills. Should you have enough energy remaining, take a short walk out to a nearby cave for some adventurous exploring. (Today’s trek 18km, 6-8hrs).Overnight in homestay, Kho Muong.
Day 07: Hin Village - Hanoi (B/L/D)
The last day of trekking takes you from the mountains and paddy fields to Tom village. From here you will be picked up and transferred back to Hanoi, arriving late this afternoon. Relax and freshen up before dinner at a delicious Vietnamese restaurant. (Today’s trek 11km, 4-5hrs) .Overnight in Hanoi
Day 08:Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi (B/L/D)
Travel from Hanoi through the Red River Delta to Halong Bay. Spend the day cruising aboard a wooden junk boat, traveling amongst the limestone karsts and beautiful waters of the bay. Visit a cave and go for a swim before transferring back to Hanoi for a farewell dinner.Overnight in Hanoi
