CHIANG MAI STOPOVER
(4 Days / 3 Nights)
Day 01: Arrival — Chiang Mai
Arrival at Chiang Mai International airport, meet and transfer to your hotel. Welcome dinner at the Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center and enjoy northern cultural and the hilltribe shows. (D)
Day 02: Chiang Mai — City Tours
The journey northwards begins as we board a flight to Chiang Mai. After checking into hotel we drive west towards the famous Doi Suthep Mountain and embark on a walk leading us to Wat Prathat Temple near the summit. At an elevation of over 1,000 m , the temple grounds affords a panoramic view over the surrounding countryside. We follow this with a visit to the old and new parts of the town featuring the great diversity. The “Rose of the North”, Chiang Mai has been always noted for exquisite handicrafts whose the combination with the traditional wares of the hill tribe people offers fantastic shopping opportunities. We drive this afternoon to the neighboring villages of Sankampaeng and Borsarng to see the various cottages industries including silk weaving, wood carving, silver ware and umbrellas making. (B, L)
Day 03: Chiang Mai — Elephant Training Camp — Bangkok
After breakfast we drive to north — East of Chiang Mai route to Maesa Elephant Camp, The idea of this trip is to see the demonstration of how trained elephants are used as working animals in teak forests includes elephant bathing in the river, working in the jungle, dragging and pushing logs, and responding commands. Then, visit Orchid Nursery to see a large collection of more than 50 different types of colorful exotic year-round-bloom orchids. After taking great pleasure at the Orchid Nursery, return to the hotel for check out, and transfer to the airport for flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and free on your own. (B)
Day 04: Bang Kok — Departure
Today you will be free for shopping or explore the city on your own. Transfer to the airport for your flight to next destination. (B)
