Leaving the city behind, your luxury tour continues as you fly to the beautiful Inle Lake in eastern Shan State. Enjoy a tranquil stay in the lake's unspoiled environs of floating gardens and old monasteries, and discover how the Inthar fishermen row their boats with their unique one-legged technique.
Head to Mandalay, the old royal capital where you will board the RV Paukan 2007, a boutique teak boat. Offering an intoxicating blend of heritage, style and comfort matched with impeccable service, a Paukan cruise along the Irrawaddy is a journey of a lifetime. Cruising downstream we stop at river villages, ancient Buddhist sites and handicraft workshops before disembarking at Bagan.
At Bagan's pagoda-dotted plain, you will ride amongst the ancient stupa ruins in a horse carriage, discovering the exquisite temple architecture and local handicraft villages. Finally, fly back to Yangon for one last chance to explore this quaint city and its many hidden sites as your luxurious journey infused with culture and history comes to a satisfying end.
Kipling was right, Burma is quite unlike any land you know, and our Irrawaddy Exclusive Cruise tour will show you the unexplored beauty of Myanmar and much more.
